The choir is working hard getting ready for the Mass of Thanksgiving at the 11:30 Mass on Sunday, June 23 to celebrate 72 years of St. Bartholomew Parish! A group of volunteers is also planning a free luncheon to follow in Ward Hall. Those planning to attend the luncheon are asked to sign up in advance (click).
The next meeting of the men's group will be held on Thursday, May 22nd beginning at 6:30 pm in the Linse room (lower church). The meeting will follow the same format starting with dinner and followed by a speaker. Please click to RSVP.
Parishioners from St. Joseph and St. Bartholomew parishes, students from St. Joseph, Xaverian, Catholic Memorial, Ursuline, and the Needham public schools, as well as members of the Exchange Club, Women's Club and other volunteers came together on April 27 and 28 to pack meals for Haiti. It was a true community event that resulted in packing 106,800 meals for the poor and hungry in Milot, Haiti.
It is not too late to sign up for the Mass of Thanksgiving with luncheon to follow (no cost) in Ward Hall. The Mass will be at 11:30 AM on Sunday, June 23 at St. Bartholomew Church. Registration for the Packathon for Haiti on April 27 / 28 is now open. Click here to sign up. Come join your fellow parishioners and neighbors for a two-hour shift as we assemble packets of nutritious food for the people of Haiti. This is a fun service activity for families, groups of teens and anyone age 10-90. Donations to cover the cost of the meals are still needed and may be mailed or dropped off to the Parish Office or placed in the cans marked Haiti at the doors of the church. This newly created group will host its inaugural event on Thursday, April 4th at 6:30 pm in the Linse room (St. Joseph lower church). It is open to all adult men in St. Joseph and St. Bartholomew parishes. The speaker for April 4th will be Fr. Michael Ssenfuma. Dinner is included.
